Pūkorokoro Shorebird Centre

The heart of this landscape lies in the people who care for its wildlife - this is what truly sets this coastline apart. The Pūkorokoro Shorebird Centre is at the forefront of protecting this birdlife through education, research, and habitat restoration. Internationally recognised for its remarkable birdlife, including species such as bar-tailed godwits, red knots, and wrybill, we’re pleased to welcome you to the unique coastline of Pūkorokoro/Miranda.

We would like to thank the Pūkorokoro Shorebird Centre for their collaboration on this event. We are proud to contribute 30% of all event proceeds in support of their vital conservation work.

As you take part, please treat this environment with respect and care. We hope your experience here inspires you to return - for the Shorebird Centre and for the birds that call Pūkorokoro home.
